RODRIGO ACEVEDO TRABA |
Rodrigo Acevedo Traba was born in 1992 and lives in Mexico City. He began his musical studies at the age of 4 with his late grandfather, Mr. Timoteo Traba, who was the former bassoonist of the Orquesta de la opera de Bellas Artes. Having taken several private piano lessons, Rodrigo entered the Escuela Nacional de Música de la UNAM, with Francisco Beyer as his piano teacher. After a brief recess, he resumed his studies in Piano Performance under the tutelage of Carlos Montes de Oca, his personal piano teacher. Rodrigo has won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards in several Piano Competitions that annually take place in the Escuela Nacional de Música. He has also studied with Josef Olechowsky, Patricia Montero, Lucha Chiantore, Janos Kery, Erzsébet Belák, and other notable piano professors. Currently he is pursuing his degree in Piano Performance and studying Music Composition under the guidance of the widely-recognized Mexican composer Leonardo Coral. |
